So you want to know more about me and what I do. That makes sense, I like to learn more about people before I contact them too.

Who is this ‘b’ guy?

My name is Blayne. You might see Blayne A. Stewart or B. Allan Stewart as well. It is all the same really, just call me b.  I am a photographer and tech guy. That seems vague but I have the knowledge to help with anything from general computer repair to building websites to making your portrait. I like to focus on digital media and web marketing. This includes my photography but also web design/development.  While I focus on the web, I also consult and speak on many subjects within the subject of technology.

My education you ask?

My education is both formal and informal; this is pretty normal for tech people though. Formally I hold a Bachelor of Science in history with a business minor and a few graduate hours in educational technology.  The history thing is a long story but you are welcome to ask sometime. My senior paper was published in a small historical journal. The degree forced me to research and write. Both have been beneficial on a regular basis.

My informal education consists of the fact that I am absurdly fond of computers and gadgets. I have taught myself most of what I know by playing around, completely screwing things up and having to fix them by Monday when a paper was due. While growing up I had the great benefit of being exposed to many technologies, a home network long before it was the norm and a supportive family.  It isn’t a degree from MIT but it got the job done and very well, I think.

My experience?

I have been interested in photography since high school. In early 2009 I began getting serious and by March 2009 I had my first real photo shoot. April of 2009 saw my first wedding shoot and I haven’t looked back since.

My tech experience started with my advanced technology exposure at a young age.  My first job after college was leading the web services department at a small university.  After two years at the university I began working freelance.  This brings us to {b}media and the services I offer here.
